INDONESIA, Menuju Peringkat 7 Dunia

Banyak generasi muda yang tidak bangga menjadi WNI karena tidak tahu betapa besar potensi dan betapa kuatnya ekonomi kita. 

Kebanyakan pebisnis internasional dan investor hanya mengetahui bahwa Indonesia modern menawarkan populasi besar dan kekayaan sumber daya alam. Hanya sedikit yang memahami bagaimana cepat bangsa ini berkembang. Negara dengan perekonomian peringkat ke-16 terbesar di dunia dan masih bertumbuh dengan cepat.

Kemajuan yang dicapai sebagian besar disebabkan kombinasi antara konsumsi domestik dan pertumbuhan produktivitas. Pada tahun 2030, negara ini bisa menjadi peringkat 7 ekonomi terbesar di dunia, menyalip Jerman dan Inggris. Tetapi untuk memenuhi target ambisius pertumbuhan dan menarik investasi internasional, Indonesia harus berbuat lebih banyak.

Indonesia today:

16th largest economy in the world, 45 million consuming class, 53% population live in the city, 55 million skilled workers.

Indonesia 2030:

7th largest economy, 135 million consuming class, 71% population live in the cities, 113 million skilled workers needed.

Indonesia Fact:

· Real GDP growth is the 3rd fastest in the world over the past 10 years, averaging of 5,2%.

· GDP standard deviation is the lowest over the past 10 years, of 0,86, thus the most consistent economic growing country.

· Share of DEBT to GDP is the 5th LOWEST in world of 25.0% in 2011.

· Savings and investments compound annual growth is expected to be an average of 10.5% over 2010-2030.

Indonesia Myth:

· Economic growth is unstable. Fact: Indonesia economic growth is the MOST STABLE in the world over the past 10 years.

· Growth centres EXCLUSIVELY on JAKARTA. FACT: a broad swathe of mid-sized cities is outstripping the capital's growth.

· Indonesia follows the ASIAN TIGER of OPEN TRADE growth MODEL. FACT: The economy is fueled largely by domestic consumption.

· Resources are the economy's main driver. FACT: Share of resources sectors declining, shares of SERVICES and MAN. growing.

· Growth has largely come from EXPANDING workforce. FACT: Growth has driven mainly by PRODUCTIVITY increases.

· Growth is JAVA centered. FACT: The MAJORITY of Indonesia's fastest growing cities are OUTSIDE JAVA.
